 <note>ABSTRAK&#13;
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis validitas konstruk tes yang digunakan untuk mengukur&#13;
perkembangan kemampuan listening siswa SMA/MA. Terdapat tiga tes listening yang sebelumnya telah&#13;
disusun, yaitu tes listening untuk kelas X, XI, dan XII. Tes listening ini dikembangkan berdasarkan konstruk&#13;
kemampuan listening dari Bachman (1990) dan Buck (2001). Tes listening yang telah dirancang selanjutnya&#13;
diuji coba secara terbatas kepada 183 siswa kelas X, 164 siswa kelas XI, dan 178 siswa kelas XII sebelum&#13;
digunakan dalam proses pengumpulan data. Data hasil uji coba dianalisis menggunakan analisis faktor&#13;
konfirmatori (CFA) untuk mengkonfirmasi sejauh mana keterwakilan variabel laten pada butir penyusun&#13;
tes. Hasil analisis CFA menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing tes listening kelas X, XI dan XII mengukur 4&#13;
kemampuan, yaitu (1) menentukan ide pokok sebagai manifestasi dari kemampuan memahami makna&#13;
teks, (2) menentukan tujuan teks sebagai manifestasi dari kemampuan memahami makna bahasa secara&#13;
utuh, (3) mengidentifikasi informasi detil sebagai manifestasi dari kemampuan memahami makna bahasa,&#13;
dan (4) menentukan respons dari teks yang disimak sebagai manifestasi kemampuan menyimak&#13;
komunikatif. Meskipun demikian, terdapat 1 butir tes kelas X dan 3 butir tes kelas XI yang memiliki nilai&#13;
factor loading di bawah 0,3 sehingga dilakukan perbaikan dengan menyederhanakan stem, mengganti diksi,&#13;
dan mengubah kalimat pasif pada stem menjadi aktif.&#13;

ABSTRACT&#13;
This study aims to examine the construct validity of listening tests which are used to measure the&#13;
improvement of students‘ listening skill. There are three listening tests to be tested for students Grade X,&#13;
XI, and XII. The tests were designed based on construct of listening ability proposed by Bachman (1990)&#13;
and Buck (2001). The designed tests then were tried out to 183 students of Grade X, 164 students of Grade&#13;
XI, and 178 students of Grade XII. The try out data were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis&#13;
(CFA) to examine the extent to which the representation of latent variables constructing the tests by the&#13;
tests items. Results show that each of listening test (test for Grade X, XI, and XII) measure four of latent&#13;
variables; i.e., define the main idea as a manifestation of the ablity to understand the text, define the&#13;
purpose of text as a manifestation of the ability to understand the meaning of language as a whole, define&#13;
the detail information as a manifestation of the ability to understand the meaning of language in details,&#13;
and define the respons of the text as a manifestation of the ability to listen communicatively. Nevertheless,&#13;
there was an item of listening test for grade X and 3 items of listening test for grade XI have standardized&#13;
loading factor (SLF) value less than 0,3 so that the revisions were made to those items by simplifying the&#13;
stem, changing the diction, and changing the passive to active voice.&#13;
